Knowing when to quit and switch can lead to success
UK researchers propose that the success of an athlete depends on his or her ability to manage goals, skills, determination and motivation. The case of tennis player Andy Murray, who decided to quit the French Open in order to recuperate from his back injury until the start of Wimbledon, has proven that knowing when to disengage from smaller goals in favor of more important objectives is indeed an essential skill for achieving success.
